The original Red Riding Hood dies (okay, the original, original RRH runs away on her own, but Perrault's cautionary tale has her die) A number of others have folks 'settling.' The soldier from the 12 dancing princesses has the hots for the youngest, but settles for the oldest because he's not a young man anymore....
